The short version. Moonhue has no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no tracking. Your pictures, progress and settings stay on your iPhone. The only data that leaves your device is what purchases need: Apple and our subscription provider, RevenueCat, handle it under a random ID that isn’t linked to your name or email. We never sell your data.
1. Who we are
Moonhue (“Moonhue: Color by Number” on the App Store) is made by Cihat Karaboğa, an independent developer based in Istanbul, Türkiye (“we”, “us”). We are the data controller for the personal data described here. You can reach us about anything in this policy at hestymobilapps@gmail.com.
This policy covers the Moonhue app for iPhone and this website.
2. What leaves your device

That’s all. Moonhue doesn’t collect your name, email address, location, contacts, photos, advertising identifier (IDFA), browsing history, usage analytics or crash reports. It contains no advertising, analytics or tracking SDKs, and it never asks you to sign in.
3. What stays on your device
These are saved only on your iPhone and are never sent to us:
- your coloring progress: which shapes you’ve filled, and the order and timing of your strokes (used for the time-lapse);
- previews of your pictures, and finished pictures you export to share or save;
- your settings: sound, haptics, when numbers are shown and whether painted shapes are dimmed;
- the themes you picked when you first opened the app;
- whether Premium is active, cached so the app works offline.
Like other app data, this may be included in your iPhone’s iCloud or computer backup, which Apple manages under its own privacy policy. Deleting the app removes all of it from your iPhone.
4. Photos and sharing
When you tap Share or Save to Photos on a finished picture, Moonhue opens Apple’s share sheet. You choose where the picture goes, for example Messages, AirDrop or Photos. We don’t receive it.
The first time you save a picture, iOS asks whether Moonhue may add photos. Moonhue can only add pictures to your library. It never reads or browses your photos. You can change this at any time in your iPhone’s Settings → Privacy & Security → Photos → Moonhue.
5. How we use your data
We use the data above only to provide and restore your purchases, to keep the purchase service secure, and to answer your messages.
If you’re in the EU, UK or a country with similar law, our legal bases are: performing our contract with you (Premium and your purchases); our legitimate interests in keeping the service secure and answering you, balanced against your rights; and legal obligations (for example, keeping purchase records for tax purposes). If you’re in Türkiye, we process your data on the same grounds under the Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK).
6. What we never do
- Sell or rent your personal data, or share it with data brokers.
- Show ads, or use your data for advertising.
- Track you across other companies’ apps or websites.
- Build a profile of you or of how you use the app.
- Upload your pictures or your coloring progress.
7. Who helps us run Moonhue
These providers process data for us, under their own terms and privacy policies, only for the purposes below:

We may also disclose data if the law requires it, for example in response to a valid court order.
8. Where your data is processed
Apple and RevenueCat may process data in the United States and other countries outside your own. Where that happens, we rely on recognised safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses, the EU–US Data Privacy Framework where the provider is certified, and the transfer mechanisms allowed under KVKK.
9. How long we keep it
- On your iPhone: until you delete the app.
- Purchase records: kept by RevenueCat and Apple for as long as needed to provide your purchases and meet tax and accounting rules.
- Emails to us: kept while we help you, and for up to 2 years in case you get in touch again, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
The app never contacts any server of ours, so we hold no data about you or how you use the app.
10. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR, UK GDPR, KVKK or US state privacy laws), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal data, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to withdraw consent. Email hestymobilapps@gmail.com and we’ll reply within 30 days. You can also complain to your data protection authority; in Türkiye that is the Personal Data Protection Authority (KVKK).
11. Deleting your data
- On your iPhone: delete the app (touch and hold the Moonhue icon, then Remove App → Delete App). This removes your pictures, progress and settings.
- Purchase records at RevenueCat: email hestymobilapps@gmail.com. Because the ID is anonymous, please include the order ID and date from your App Store receipt email so we can find the right record. We’ll confirm when it’s done.
- Records held by Apple: Apple keeps its own purchase history. You can manage it at privacy.apple.com.
Deleting the app or your data doesn’t cancel a subscription. Cancel it in your iPhone’s Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions.
12. Security
Everything the app sends for purchases is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Because your pictures and progress never leave your iPhone, and the app never contacts any server of ours, there is very little that could be exposed. No system is perfectly secure, but we keep what we handle to a minimum.
13. Children
Moonhue is a general-audience app and isn’t directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). The app doesn’t ask anyone for personal information, and handles the same limited purchase data described above for everyone. Purchases go through Apple, so parents can use Ask to Buy and Screen Time to control them. If you think a child has sent us personal information, for example by email, contact us and we’ll delete it.
14. This website
This website uses no cookies, no analytics and no third-party scripts or fonts, and our web server doesn’t keep access logs. Like any website, the hosting provider and the server that routes traffic to us process your IP address and basic request details to deliver the page and protect it from abuse.
15. Changes and contact
If Moonhue starts handling data differently, for example if a future update downloads new pictures from our server, we’ll update this page and the date at the top before the change reaches you.
