How can we help?

Pick a color in the palette at the bottom, then tap the shapes that show its number. When every shape of a color is filled, it gets a check and the next color is selected for you. The moon at the top fills as you go.

That shape belongs to a different color. Select the color with the same number in the palette and tap it again.

Tap the lightbulb (Hint). The picture glides to the nearest unfilled shape of your selected color and makes it pulse. Shapes of the selected color also show a moving stripe. To make them stand out even more, turn on Hide completed regions in Settings to dim everything you’ve already painted.

Pinch or double-tap to zoom in. Numbers too small to read are hidden until you zoom. In Settings, Numbers lets you choose between Always and Zoomed in.

No. Moonhue saves a moment after you paint and whenever you leave the app. Find every picture you’ve started in My Works. Progress is stored on your iPhone, so deleting the app removes it.

They’re Premium boosters for big pictures. Fill bomb fills every shape of your color around the spot you tap. Magic wand fills every remaining shape of your selected color at once.

Each day Moonhue picks one picture and shows it at the top of Home. It’s free for everyone that day, even if it’s normally a Premium picture. It changes at midnight on your iPhone.

If it’s one of the free pictures, carry on whenever you like. If it’s a Premium picture, it locks again after midnight, but your progress is saved. You can finish it with Premium, or when it comes around as tonight’s picture again.

When you finish a picture, tap Save to Photos (or Share) and choose Save Image. The first time, iOS asks whether Moonhue may add photos; tap Allow.

You may have declined the permission. Open your iPhone’s Settings → Privacy & Security → Photos → Moonhue and allow adding photos. Moonhue can only add pictures; it never reads your library.

Not yet. You can replay the time-lapse in the app any time by opening a finished picture.

New subscribers to the weekly plan get a 3-day free trial. If you don’t cancel at least 24 hours before it ends, the weekly subscription starts and your Apple ID is charged.

Open Settings in Moonhue and tap Restore purchases, signed in to the App Store with the same Apple ID you used to buy. Check you have an internet connection.

Open the Settings app on your iPhone, tap your name, then Subscriptions, choose Moonhue Premium and tap Cancel Subscription. You can also get there from Manage subscription in Moonhue’s Settings. Deleting the app doesn’t cancel it. Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date to avoid being charged for the next period.

Payments are handled by Apple, so refunds are too. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.

You go back to the free version. Pictures you’ve finished stay in My Works and you can always view them. Unfinished Premium pictures lock again, with your progress kept.

Your pictures and progress are stored on your iPhone, not in an account. If you set up the new iPhone from a backup of the old one, they usually come along. Tap Restore purchases to bring Premium with you.

Moonhue keeps your pictures, progress and settings only on your iPhone, so deleting the app removes them. For purchase records, see Deleting your data in our Privacy Policy.

Not yet. Moonhue is made for iPhone with iOS 15 or later.
