The short version. Moonhue is free to download and play, with a free picture every night. Premium unlocks every picture and two boosters. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel them in your Apple ID settings, and Apple handles payments and refunds. Share what you color, but don’t sell our artwork. Nothing here takes away your rights as a consumer.

1. About these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and Cihat Karaboğa, an independent developer based in Istanbul, Türkiye (“we”, “us”), for the Moonhue app (“Moonhue: Color by Number” on the App Store) and this website. By downloading or using Moonhue you agree to them. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data.
2. Your licence to use Moonhue
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to download and use Moonhue on Apple devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial use, as allowed by the Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions. You may not copy, modify, sell, rent or redistribute the app, reverse engineer it (except where the law allows), or use it to build a competing product.
3. Free play and Premium
Free. Everyone can color tonight’s picture (one picture the app picks each day, which changes at midnight on your device), all pictures marked as free, and use hints, zoom, time-lapse replay, sharing and every setting.
Premium unlocks every picture in the library and the Fill bomb and Magic wand boosters. It’s offered as a weekly and a yearly auto-renewing subscription. The weekly plan may include a free trial for new subscribers (currently 3 days). The options, prices and any trial are shown in the app before you buy, in your local currency.
Subscriptions.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID when you confirm the purchase, or when a free trial ends.
- A subscription renews automatically at the same length and price unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple ID is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends.
- You can manage or cancel a subscription in your iPhone’s Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions, or from Manage subscription in Moonhue’s Settings. Deleting the app doesn’t cancel it. After you cancel, Premium stays active until the end of the period you’ve paid for.
- If you start a free trial, you’re charged when it ends unless you cancel at least 24 hours before. Free trials are for new subscribers only, and any unused part of a trial ends when you buy a subscription.
- If a price changes, Apple tells you in advance and, where required, asks for your consent before you’re charged the new price.
Restoring. To get Premium on a new or reset iPhone, tap Restore purchases in Moonhue’s Settings or Restore on the Premium screen, while signed in to the App Store with the Apple ID you used to buy.
Offline. Moonhue checks your subscription with the App Store when you’re online. If you’re offline, it keeps Premium active for a few days before it needs to check again.
When Premium ends. Pictures you’ve finished stay in My Works and you can always view them. Premium pictures you haven’t finished lock again, but your progress stays on your iPhone, ready for when you subscribe again or when that picture is tonight’s picture.
Refunds. All payments go through Apple, so refunds are handled by Apple under its policies. You can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. This doesn’t affect any right to a refund you have under consumer law.
4. The pictures you color
Enjoy what you make. You may share your colored pictures and time-lapses for personal, non-commercial purposes, for example with friends, on social media or printed for your wall. The original artwork, including its designs, outlines and palettes, remains ours, so you may not sell your colored pictures, use them commercially, or redistribute our artwork as coloring pages or in another product.
5. Content and updates
We keep improving Moonhue, so pictures, features, boosters and what’s included in Free and Premium may change. We may add, change or remove pictures. Some seasonal pictures, such as Halloween ones (currently 15 September to 7 November), appear only for part of the year. If we ever stop offering Moonhue, we’ll give reasonable notice in the app or on this website where we can.
6. Fair use
You agree not to modify the app or use tools to unlock Premium without paying, not to interfere with the app or the services it relies on, and not to use Moonhue in any way that breaks the law.
7. Intellectual property
The app, its artwork, design, sounds, code and the Moonhue name belong to us or our licensors. These terms don’t give you any rights to them other than the licence in section 2 and the permission in section 4.
8. Disclaimer
To the extent the law allows, Moonhue is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. Your progress is stored only on your iPhone, so we can’t recover it if you delete the app or lose your device, and we don’t promise that the app will be uninterrupted or free of bugs.
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we’re not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of data or progress. Our total liability to you for any claim about Moonhue is limited to the amount you paid for it in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or your statutory rights as a consumer.
10. Ending these terms
You can stop using Moonhue and delete the app at any time. We may end or suspend your licence if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms. Sections 4, 7, 8, 9 and 12 continue to apply after these terms end.
11. App Store terms
If you downloaded Moonhue from Apple’s App Store:
- These terms are between you and us, not Apple. We, not Apple, are solely responsible for Moonhue and its content.
- Apple has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support for Moonhue. For support, contact us (see section 13).
- If Moonhue fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price for the app, if any. To the maximum extent the law allows, Apple has no other warranty obligation for Moonhue.
- We, not Apple, are responsible for addressing any claims by you or a third party relating to Moonhue, including product liability claims, claims that it fails to meet legal or regulatory requirements, and consumer protection or privacy claims.
- If a third party claims that Moonhue or your use of it infringes their intellectual property rights, we, not Apple, are responsible for investigating, defending, settling and discharging that claim.
- You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a US Government embargo or designated as a “terrorist supporting” country, and that you are not on any US Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- You must comply with any third-party terms that apply when you use Moonhue, such as your wireless data service agreement.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms, and on your acceptance Apple has the right to enforce them against you.
Where these terms don’t cover something, Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, and the courts of Istanbul have jurisdiction. If you’re a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim in your local courts.
13. Changes and contact
We may update these terms, for example when we add features or when the law changes. We’ll change the date at the top, and if a change significantly affects you we’ll give reasonable notice. If you keep using Moonhue after a change takes effect, the new terms apply.
